Best Posting Times for Every Platform in 2025

We analyzed over 4 million posts across five major platforms to identify when content gets the most engagement. Here are the findings — and how to use them.

Instagram: Tuesday–Thursday, 10am–1pm

Instagram engagement peaks mid-morning to early afternoon on weekdays. Reels perform slightly better when posted in the evening (7–9pm) as users browse during downtime.

TikTok: Evenings and Weekends Win

TikTok's audience skews younger and is most active from 6pm–10pm on weekdays and throughout Saturday. The algorithm is less time-sensitive than other platforms, so great content can surface days later.

LinkedIn: Tuesday–Thursday, 7–8am and 12pm

Professionals check LinkedIn first thing in the morning and during lunch. Monday posts compete with weekend catch-up, and Friday engagement drops as people mentally check out.

X (Twitter): Weekdays, 8–10am and 6–9pm

X has two engagement peaks: morning commute hours and evening wind-down. News-driven content performs best in the morning; conversational threads do better in the evening.

Facebook: Wednesday–Friday, 1–4pm

Facebook's audience is older and tends to browse in the afternoon. Video content gets 2× more engagement than link posts, regardless of timing.

The Caveat: Your Audience Is Unique

These are averages across millions of accounts. Your specific audience may behave differently based on timezone, industry, and demographics. Use platform analytics to find your own optimal windows.

How to Test Your Best Times

Run a 4-week experiment: post the same type of content at different times each day. Track engagement rate (not just likes — comments and shares matter more). After 4 weeks, you'll have a clear picture of when your audience is most responsive.

Automate It

Once you know your optimal times, use a scheduling tool to automate posting. Consistency matters more than perfection — the best time to post is the time you can post consistently.
